Free WebP to JFIF conversion. Compatible JPEG file interchange format.
WebP is smaller than JPEG at comparable quality, but it is still not supported everywhere.
JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is an image interchange format built on top of JPEG. The file contains a normal JPEG image plus a short service block holding the version and pixel density. That is why a .jfif extension opens anywhere JPEG opens, yet some editors, scripts and pipelines treat it as a distinct type and accept the file without manual renaming.
The conversion is useful wherever the source format is rejected: legacy editors, industrial systems, scanners, build scripts and part of the CMS ecosystem are configured around JFIF. The source is fully decoded first and then re-encoded as JPEG, so the result depends on the quality setting — lower it when detail matters, keep it higher for the smallest possible file.
Keep in mind that transparency and palette data are not carried over — JPEG stores a single RGB channel. If an alpha channel is essential, choose PNG instead.
